Autometer FP guage...JRCIVIC??

Someone asked me a question last week and I didn't know the answer so I figured I'd ask you guys.

I have an Autometer pro comp electric full sweep fuel pressure guage installed in my car. What is the difference between the short sweep and the full sweep? Is the response different or how it reads the fuel pressure? Thanks for the info.

No differences, its just the short sweep guage has less resolution. That's all. Here's a pict of my short sweep guage:

The sending units differ between the two. The full sweep gauge is capable of much more precise measurements, and thus is capable of giving you more specific information in the cockpit. As Zip would say: "Better Resolution" !!!

Each line/mark on the full sweep is 2 psi. The half sweep gauge is what... about 12.5 psi ?!?!?

I believe that if all that you are interested in (as far as fuel measurements go) is MAX fuel pressure, then the half-sweep gauge is fine. If you want to accurately monitor ramp speeds and tip-in response, then the full-sweep gauge is necessary.
